#HOW TO INSTALL KODI ON FIRE STICK WITHOUT CPU UPDATE#
Plex worked instantly, before an update on it tried to kill my pc multiple times.
Still no sever popping up, I don't ever remember having trouble getting it to work in the past, am I missing something? I've used kodi before but it's been ages, and I've NEVER had this much trouble trying to stream anything from pc.I've enabled ALL settings to allow media streaming from PC to fire stick (on both devices).I've switched SMB and tried all the settings on it.I setup zeroconf, which still shows no server.I entered my pc's static IP under SMB setting.Have tried running Kodi as admin on PC. Shouldn't be using 100% CPU when not even streaming anything. I'm coming from Plex, as it's caused BSOD 3 times today and there's not even an option to disable transcoding. Installed krypton 17 on fire, fire instantly showed my Kodi PC without even needing settings changed and no plex needed.
